MAN IN THE TIME OF DUTERTE, TRUMP, MARCOS
A few points to ponder as to why we have come to this pass. We lost the–our– north star over the past decades? The majority –the poor– are too tired to care: their generations have lived all their lives in crises so that it has become a way of life. The middle class (in theory the social conscience of society?) has reneged on its obligation. The rich has not found enough soul to truly share their wealth with the poor. Pope Francis’ brethren in this country are hostage their institution’s set ways and their comfortable lives. Government: save for a tiny minority, it is peopled by heartless opportunists and crooks, either elected or appointed.
