They\u2019re anxious about their future, their present, their position relative to that of their peers. \u201cThey\u2019ll talk about having anxiety that their co-workers or the people on their social networks all seem to know more about a subject than they do,\u201d Schriber said, referring, presumably, to pre-pandemic focus testing. \u201cSomeone will come to the office party and talk about wine, and then they\u2019ll feel like\u00a0<i>I don\u2019t know enough about wine<\/i>. Someone else will talk about photography, and they\u2019ll be like\u00a0<i>Man, I should pay attention to who the photographers are these days<\/i>. Or their boss will say things like \u2018You need to work on your leadership profile, or hone your creative judgments,\u2019 and the poor 30-something is like\u00a0<i>Where am I gonna get all this?<\/i>\u201d Something about this struck me as clammy and sad, as far away from\u00a0<i>They can\u2019t take your education away from you<\/i>\u00a0as it\u2019s possible to be.
