As I said in my last note on the subject: \u201cBring me a chorus of voices, of opinions. I want them all. I want a loud\u00a0cacophony\u00a0of differing viewpoints. Agreement is the death of creativity.\u201dIt\u2019s up to all of us to make this happen.#GamerGate isn\u2019t about conspiracies. It isn\u2019t about scandal and corruption. It isn\u2019t about feminists or misogynists. It isn\u2019t about any of these things, and it\u2019s about all of them all at once.In the end, it\u2019s about gamers upset with the status quo and demanding something better. It\u2019s about a group of consumers and enthusiasts not simply feeling that their identity is threatened, but believing that they\u2019re being poorly represented by an industry and press that grow more and more cliquish and remote every year. And it\u2019s about the ad hoc, messy series of uncoordinated events that got us here.Perhaps none of this is the answer. Perhaps the only answer is to encourage honest debate between people who truly care about video games. A conversation is a powerful thing.
