More social than the social.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Ecstasy of information: simulation. Truer than true.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Ecstasy of time: <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Real-time computing\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Real-time_computing\">real time<\/a>, instantaneity. More present than the present.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Ecstasy of the real: the hyperreal. More real than the real.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Ecstasy of sex: porn. More sexual than sex &#8230;<\/em><br \/>\n<strong><em>Thus, freedom has been obliterated, liquidated by liberation; truth has been supplanted by verification; the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Communication\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Communication\">community<\/a> has been liquidated and absorbed by <\/em>communication &#8230;<\/strong><strong> Everywhere we see a paradoxical logic:<em> the idea is destroyed by its own realization, by its own excess. And in this way history itself comes to an end, finds itself obliterated by the instantaneity and <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Omnipresence\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Omnipresence\">omnipresence<\/a> of the event.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em><\/em><br \/>\nIf a clearer depiction of realtime exists, I have not come upon it in my inchworm meanderings.<br \/>\nThe fact that <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Jean Baudrillard\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jean_Baudrillard\">Baudrillard<\/a> could so clearly describe the twitterification phenomenon ten years before it became a phenomenon reveals that the phrase &#8220;new media,&#8221; when used to describe the exchange of digital messages over the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Internet\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Internet\">Internet<\/a>, is a coinage of the fabulist.
