The old lady in Copacabana<\/strong>

\nShe was standing on the sidewalk<\/a> of Atl\u00e2ntica Avenue with a guitar<\/a> and a hand-written sign that said: \u201cLet\u2019s sing together.\u201d
\nShe began to play alone. Then a drunk arrived, then another old lady and they began to sing along with her. In a short time a small crowd was singing<\/a> together and another small crowd played the audience, clapping<\/a> hands at the end of each number.
\n\u201cWhy do you do this?\u201d I asked between songs.
\n\u201cNot to be alone,\u201d she said. \u201cMy life is very lonely, just like almost all old folk.\u201d
